The cast includes Manoj K Jayan, Vineeth, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Lalu Alex, Renji Panicker, Rajeev Pillai and Baburaj. Murali Gopy has written the script keeping Mohanlal's character Kammath in mind. Mohanlal plays the role of both father (Kammath) and son (Arthachakkal). The film is being shot in various parts of Kerala, especially near Kollam. The film features songs composed by Santhosh Narayanan, lead vocalist Gopi Sundar, having recorded in two languages - Malayalam and Tamil.

The film was released worldwide on 26 October 2016. The satellite rights of the film are sold to STAR Vijay.
